Raw meat is a food appearing in Gothic, Gothic II, Gothic 3, Gothic 3: Forsaken Gods and Nyras Prologue. In Gothic 3: The Beginning, it appears by the name of meat.
Description
Raw meat is a piece of red meat on a bone. In Gothic II, Gothic 3 and Nyras Prologue, there are also white fat fibers.
The meat can be cut by Nameless Hero from the start of the game without learning an additional skill. In every game, raw meat can be fried to grilled meat; in comparison to grilled meat, raw meat is less nutritious.
Gothic
Raw meat can't be bought from traders or found in chests. The only accessible source is killing animals that have it as a loot. The list of such animals include:

- Young molerat x1
- Scavenger x2
- Molerat x2
- Biter x2
- Shadowbeast x4
It's purchase value is 5 ore nuggets, but when sold, it drops to 3 ore nuggets. When eaten, it restores 10 health points. The Hero can fry the meat on a campfire with a frying pan and in result get more nutritious grilled meat.
Gothic II
The look of raw meat has sligthly changed, showing layers of fat. Traders do not sell raw meat; it can only be looted from these animals:

Raw meat can be cooked on a fire or in a stove, the latest requires to have own frying pan. It's purchase value is 3 ore nuggets, but when sold, it drops to 1 ore nugget. When eaten, it restores 6 health points.

It can also be found in some kitchens or caves of Myrtana. As in previous installments of the series, raw meat ca be cooked on a campfire, whih increases its nutritional value and turns raw meat into the roast one.
It is an alchemical ingredient for the lion transformation potion, sabertooth transformation potion and wolf transformation potion. Gambal in Silden needs 50 of raw meat to feed his orcs.
When eaten, it regenerates 10% of health points. It can be bought for 3 gold and sold for 1 gold.
Nyras Prologue
Nyras can get 1 piece of raw meat from a killed molerat. As there's only 4 molerats around Exchange place, 4 raw meat in total can be obtained throughout the game. As in previous installments of the series, raw meat can be fried on a pan.
Eating raw meat gradually regenerates 2 health points, 1 point per second. It cannot be bought or sold, as the demo doesn't have a trading system.

- In Gothic II, raw meat can be collected from NPCs if a player interrupts them cooking it on a campfire.
